python-jabberbot software package provides easily write simple Jabber bots, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-jabberbot
python-jabberbot is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-jabberbot package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-jabberbot *
You will get with python-jabberbot package name, version, architecture and description in a table
